Dinosaur Jr. are an American alternative rock band. Their songs, while typically melodic, are performed at extremely high volumes, saturated with guitar noise and distortion, and frequently punctuated by J Mascis's fluent guitar solos.
They were formed as Dinosaur in 1983 in Amherst, Massachusetts by J Mascis (guitar and vocals) and his high school classmate Lou Barlow (bass guitar), following the break-up of their hardcore punk band Deep Wound. Shortly afterwards, Murph (Emmett Patrick Murphy, drums) joined them. Their debut album, Dinosaur was issued in 1985.
This pair of Dunk High SB are their first ever collaboration with Nike SB in conjunction with their new 07 release album since their last album in 1989.
Dunks feature a Metallic Silver upper with Purple accents and an emroidered Dinosaur Jr. character, as well as, the the words Dinosaur Jr. embroidered on the outer heels of the shoes.
