1. When you select the XXI factors to embed on XXI Low,
which design ideas do you choose?
Which Not? and Why?

2. In comparsion with XXI, XXI Low and coming XXI PE,
what is the advantage of XXI Low?

3. I, as a low-cut lover, thought XXI Low would provide great feeling when I hoop it.
However, low cut shoes might make other ballers "unsafe" during the game and they would select mid or high cut shoes.

Your opintion?

During the design stage, how do you take the best balance of the cut height?
Is it the curve of the shoe?
or something else?

4. Which colorway of XXI low (except PE colorways) is your favorite?
Any reason or story?

5. Mike Bibby might be the one who wears low-cut version of Js most.

Does he provide any idea on the design of XXI low?
or do you find some ideas from his games?

我的感覺跟水哥一樣!

我本來球鞋都穿8.5
但那天去台南北門舒邁要敗這雙時 店員說只有8號
當時我本想拿這雙當走路鞋和把玩珍藏而已
因為我打球都穿2雙厚襪子套8.5的鞋都很包了 尤其前掌(20-5-5和2k5平名版)
結果一套進去 竟然比平常8.5的鞋子還鬆
當時問店員說:這雙是不是前腳掌做的較大? 他說是
回家後穿了2雙襪子綁緊鞋帶 在房間裡坐一些橫向急停和快速變換方向的動作時
就像水哥說的 後腳跟還會滑 況且我已經買小半號了


一些避震上的問題和後腳跟的問題樓上大大已提 小弟不在重覆 以下是小弟自己的疑問

Q1:如小孟大說的Low的設計等於把high切一半 看不出設計師有所不同
只負責配色上的設計嗎?
Q2:鞋底的材質比起一般aj或nike材質 是不是較軟? 因而抓地力較好但也較不耐磨?
Q3:有大大提到要等鞋底的DNA高低紋路一至時才會發揮真正的抓地力和耐用度...既然如此為何不一開始就設計同高的紋路?

1. What is the main motivation in developing a low-top version of the Air Jordan both from Jordan Brand's and from the designer's perspective?

2. How is this motivation differ from any additional models (the p.e., l.e. or regional edition) that we are now seeing offered from the brand and how do the brand itself and the designer(s) differentiate between all the variations of the flagship model from a philosophical standpoint?

3. How much creative freedom is given to the designer(s) when they start developing the Air Jordan low? To be more precise, how much (or little) do you have to adhere to (or deviate from) the main Air Jordan model and does the brand have any influence in dictating that?

4. As we know, the Air Jordan XXI was inspired by the Bentley Continental GT. Do you as a designer also use the car as an inspiration by default or do you see the Air Jordan XXI merely as a platform for you to depart, whereas the final product can (and may) be inspired by something else? If this is the case, what was the inspiration for the Air Jordan XXI low?

5. What do you see as the main performance and design emphasis of the Air Jordan XXI and what do you intend these emphasis to be with the Air Jordan XXI low?

Do you feel constrained in some way just because you inevitably have to base your creative effort on someone else's creative effort and do you see it as an asset or sometimes as a hinderance (or both)?
