Latest Jordan info from Gentry Humphrey
We just got back from Las Vegas a few days ago and got some juicy info from Gentry Humphrey (head of Jordan Brand footwear) about upcoming Air Jordans.
Gentry Humphrey gave us a preview of a number of Air Jordans for 2007. We were able to snap pics of several, but the goodies came out after he told us to put the cameras away.
Here is a list of the retro Air Jordans he showed us we have NOT seen in person yet:
- Air Jordan 1 “Black Toes”
- Air Jordan 1 White/Red Tribute shoe - This shoe features images of Jordan on the shoe behind the swoosh in what appeared to be 3M material.
- Air Jordan 3 Carolina/Yellow-White (carolina nubuck upper)
- Air Jordan 5 L’Style Burgandy and the L’Style Olive/Orange
- Air Jordan 5 Laser - The shoe was made of white leather and the accent color was orange
- Air Jordan 11 low Light Grey/White-Yellow (light grey nubuck upper with yellow on the sole)
Gentry also showed us a ton of other retro Air Jordans that we had already seen such as the Cool Grey Jordan 3’s, Fire Red Jordan 3’s, Fire Red Jordan 5’s, and a ton of others already on the Jordan Release Dates page.
In the Q/A portion of the meeting, Gentry confirmed that NO future Jordan releases will have the “Nike Air” logo on the shoe out of respect to OG collectors. In addition to that, Gentry hinted that the Air Jordan 15 may be making an appearance soon, but thankfully they will not be the Air Jordan 15 which was released in 2000. Supposedly, Nike scrapped a version of the Air Jordan 15 before the final version was released. I am excited to see what “could have been” the Air Jordan 15.
