Earlier today at the Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon, quarterback Tim Tebow officially unveiled his Florida Gators themed Nike Trainer 1.2, a collaboration shoe with EA Sports to celebrate the cover of the upcoming NCAA Football 11 videogame.
With a blue synthetic nubuck and gator skin base, orange midsole and green accents throughout, the EA Sports x Tim Tebow Trainer 1.2 is full of details, yet maintains a subtle look.
Along with the official NCAA 11 logo atop each shoe’s forefoot strap and the EA Sports logo found on the tongue, there are also several nods that tie in to Tebow’s legendary collegiate career in Gainesville. You’ll notice the word ‘PROMISE’ along the left heel and the date September 27, 2008, a touch reminding everyone of Tim’s very famous “Promise” post-game speech after Florida’s loss to Ole Miss. Florida fans often point out that specific moment as the catalyst for turning around their season.
