還記得早在去年 8 月，Isaiah Thomas 曾在 Instagram 上關於 Kobe 3 的貼文串寫道 “I seen the low top version of these OMG!!! Can’t wait till they drop” 嗎？提前整整一年暴雷，當時也引起有關「Kobe 3 要回歸了？」的討論，但也就只有傳聞，始終未見低筒版實鞋曝光。
直到近期隨著 Kobe 3 Protro ‘Halo’ 上市，稍早在 Nike Mamba League Invitational 賽事現場展出了 Kobe 3 Low Protro，大嫂 Vanessa Bryant 也率先更新社群動態表示 “Coming soon.”，隨後 Nike Basketball 預告將於 2026 年推出。

回顧 2007 年，原版 Kobe 3 並沒有發行低筒版，這一想法在今年的 Proro 版本上首度嘗試，不難理解是因為市場趨勢所致，畢竟過去近 20 年來，籃球鞋市場一直是以低筒款為主流，幾個小時前 Kobe 3 Protro Low 現身後，看到有網友認為如此型態更有吸引力，蠻好奇屆時上市後買氣如何。
就外型看來，整雙鞋並未大改，主要是筒身高度的更動，連帶鞋帶孔由 9 組變成 6 組；至於中底配置是否與 Kobe 3 Protro 相同，採用 Cushlon 3.0 泡棉 + 全掌 Zoom Strobel 氣墊呢？有待進一步消息確認。
